ok, quick question, well not really ha

is there any way to make a fractal with no background color, if i just wanted the design i made so i could add it to things? i've tried deleting the color after putting it into photoshop as a jpg but most of the time it either takes some of the fractal with it or leaves a lot of the background color behind. is there any type of setting or button in apophysis i could press to just remove the background?

yes, in fact, there is. :)

you need to check in your options under the "display" tab.
choose either flame-song or flam3 type transparency.

then when you go to render your image.

in the destination box, click the little folder icon on the right hand side.
change the save as type to PNG image instead of jpg.

This has two benefits, no background color, and no compression...therefore better image quality.

Thanks for the tutorial but on screen shots...

change the black to gray or something so that when/if someone prints...

they aren't killing there ink cartridge...
