It looks like his/her eyelashes have folded in on top of the eye and have extended to create a grid all over the face.

the black wires make this piece really depthful, in a nice way, but at the same time they kinda make this piece too busy. you don't know where too look first. the contrasting colours are very nice however.

Thanks for your input, I appreciate it. As was mentioned before, they may be too big, but I still personally prefer the bigger lines to small tiny ones for this piece.
Perhaps if the center portion were slightly bigger, would it be able to draw the eye there first?

perhaps. or maybe you can cut away the debris (those curly thingies) at the top and bottom of the image.
