Ooh really cool :) If you hadn't mentioned me, I hadn't recognize the formula. You must have used a heavy filter ;) May I ask what exponent you've used? Very glad someone sometimes been inspired by my journals :D

z*z*z*z-(4*c*c*c*z) is the formula I used.

In the blend_1 menu, I chose Inverse tan atan xtot/ytot - atan ytot/xtot

LastZ - 6.) Stalks

I left all of my constants at 0 for the formula.

JuliaX = 0.001
JuliaY = 1e-020 :D

OK, when filters are used one ´sometimes hardly could recognize the fractal :hmm: However it still looks like a compass :D

I enjoy the "art" aspect as much if not more so than the math aspect of fractals... so I have a tendency to change things up a bit more than usual. ;)

BTW, Strands and Stalks are also math. There are not so much to do with a "raw" compass. the filaments entirely bouilt up of minibrots..
