This week has gone by very quickly, and we have many great black and white images to review!
The results of the poll are in on harder challenges, and we will be having more challenging challenges mixed in once a month. I have not decided on whether it will be the last week or first week of each month at this point. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Winner & Feature

Yet again, we have a tie for first place. Congratulations to both our winners!

Voting is simple, and everyone is asked to give your say.
After you have reviewed the entries: choose one that you think held true and exemplified the particular challenge best. Send me a note with that artists name and a link to their fractal. One vote per person, per challenge. Voting ends with the next challenge deadline.
Rules

1.) Follow the challenge guidelines.
2.) Entries must be posted here in this journal, before deadline.
3.) Only one entry per artist.
4.) Keep postwork to a minimum (small adjustments/tweaks, watermarks)
5.) Parameters must be made available upon request.
6.) Parameters need to be posted in your entries comments, or in a comment underneath, not on the journal page.
7.) Have fun!!!
Challenge #44

It's Hip To Be Square
We haven't seen all to much from this plugin since late 2007. Poor square doesn't seem to be very popular.
Our goal for this week is to resurrect the square plugin! Make it new, make it alive!!! The square plugin must be the main focus of your piece. Other variations are available, but their usage is limited.

  • Maximum Transforms: 74
  • Minimum: 3 Transforms utilizing the Square plugin.
  • Variations Allowed: Any, but only 2 in addition to square.
As an example, you use linear and spherical in addition to the required square.
Second example, you decide that synth works well with square. The other variation is not requried.
  • Focus is to be on the Square plugin/variation.
  • Final Transform: Allowed, any variation.

I am incredibly intrigued to see the variety of new creations with square! Have fun and be creative.

Deadline: Sunday, September 19th 11:59pm (EST)
