What an interesting week of entries. I'm certain that everyone will have fun reviewing them and voting!

Before we proceed to our winner, please first take notice of an announcement from marthig about the Apophysis Challenges. You can reference it in her latest journal as well if you like.

The `f--l--A--r--k ApoChallenges will soon reach the 100th Challenge.

Stan asked to all the participants, to bring some ideas to celebrate that "milestone"

My suggestion is sort of a personal project but
I will need help from all of the Apophysis "experts".

It would be to make some sort of Manual for those new "ApoAddicts" describing what some of the most used plugins do and where or in what type of flame or together with which other plugin they can be more successfully used. I mean those in the first (white) part and those in the Blue part of the "variations" tab

What I mean by this ? An example, from my most superficial knowledge of Apophysis would be:

"linear" is great for doing tiles and/or spirals
"julian" is just fabulous and you can make beautiful structures varying the "power" and "distance" variables

In both cases, followed by a simple flame and its parameters
(I did say my knowledge is very superficial )

Any Takers To Help ?- please note me
Also if anyone is willing to help please let me know which plugin/s you would like to describe.

I was offered help in at least spreading the word --about the help needed-- by Stan `f--l--A--r--k and ^DragonWinter I also will post a request in #The-Aposhack Group

I know this is sort of a "biggy" but if I could get only a few descriptions at least, it may be a great help for a beginner in Apophysis, I know that when I first clicked on the "new" flame in Apo 2.0 I would have been terribly grateful to get an idea of what those variations and variables were for.

Voting

Voting is simple, and everyone is asked to give your say.
After you have reviewed the entries: choose one that you think held true and exemplified the particular challenge best. Send me a note with that artists name and a link to their fractal. One vote per person, per challenge. Voting ends with the next challenge deadline.

Rules

1.) Follow the challenge guidelines.
2.) Entries must be posted here in this journal, before deadline.
3.) Only one entry per artist.
4.) Keep postwork to a minimum (small adjustments/tweaks, watermarks)
5.) Parameters must be made available upon request.
6.) Parameters need to be posted in your entries comments, or in a comment underneath, not on the journal page.
7.) Entries must be new works for the specific challenge and not previously designed or uploaded.
8.) Have fun!!!

Challenge #79

Julian-Disc
This week we will be delving into a classic Apophysis fractal style; the Disc-Julian.
A link to a tutorial to learn from is provided below.
Remember that your goal in a tutorial challenge is to first understand the style, and then to build upon the original idea and create something new and unique.

As always, have fun, and stay thirsty my friends!

:sherlock: Regarding suggestions for Challenge #100 above.
There are quite a few guides and tuts in existence already and :iconfractal-resources: does the job of giving us all the resources from one site. I'd like to see this Challenge stick to what it already so successfully is, and has been so far, and not take on any of those bigger tasks.
Maybe Challenge #100 could be a build using 100 xForms like some of the amazing works of :iconthe-panpiper: & others (but we might need a couple of weeks notice!)
